MARLIN Magazine Manufacturers Cup
MARLIN magazine recognizes that fishing the Bermuda Big Game Classic represents the longest sea crossing without any fueling station, watering hole or landmass along the way. But the banks off Bermuda possess the most consistent large blue marlin fishery in the world, once again testing the machines and crews of both visiting and Bermuda boats like no other tournament. The owners of the vessels already fishing the event represent the most competitive teams for the top boat manufacturers in the world. The lure of huge marlin, Old World amenities and accommodating locals make Bermuda a jewel among the fishing destinations of the world.

MARLIN
magazine and the sport fish yacht manufacturers have put together this very unique division within the tournament. All teams fishing the tournament in boats produced by sponsoring manufacturers will be eligible to win this competition. The winning team will be awarded cash and prizes as well as recognition as the winner of the Marlin Manufacturers Cup. We want to thank the manufacturers who have already signed up and encourage others to register their brands and support their owners.

Here is how it works:

Each manufacturer entered into the division will represent a $1500 entry fee into the division. If we have 10 manufacturers enter the total purse would be $15,000. Every team fishing aboard a boat that is built by the sponsoring manufacturer will be competing for the total cash purse and the title on behalf of the sponsoring manufacturers. For example Hatteras Yachts is a sponsor of the Marlin magazine manufacturers cup so all teams that are fishing aboard a Hatteras built boat are entered in the division and have a chance to win the cash and prizes. In addition to the cash the winning team will also receive a special trophy, recognition and plaque on the perpetual Bermuda Big Game Classic trophy.

SCA World Record Pot of Gold
All boats entered in the tournament are eligible to win the World Record Pot of Gold. Any boat breaking an IGFA All-Tackle World Record for either a blue or white marlin will win $250,000. Any boat breaking an All-Tackle World Record for either a dolphin, yellowfin tuna or wahoo will win $50,000. *

*Payment of these awards is dependent on the IGFA world-record certification of the fish. If the fish is NOT certified as an all-tackle world record for ANY reason, the money will not be awarded.

Prize Disbursement  Any team receiving cash awards must fill out a prize disbursement form prior to receiving any funds or prizes. Each registered team member must sign this form.

All winners and all entrants of this tournament may be subjected to a polygraph test at the Tournament Committee’s discretion. If a participant refuses to submit to a polygraph test for any reason, then any winnings that may be coming to that participant (or his or her team) will be automatically forfeited.
