The 8th Annual Bermuda Big Game Classic takes place July 9-13, 2008.  This is Bermuda's largest billfish event and the centerpiece of the Bermuda Triple Crown Billfish Championship.  Boats fishing in the Classic will be automatically entered in the Bermuda Triple Crown Series.  To find out more about the championship series, click on www.bermudatriplecrown.com. The 2007 season was nothing short of spectacular for marlin, wahoo and tuna.  Our seventh annual tournament had a record 57 boats competing for $500,000 in cash and prizes.  Alan Bir's team Perfect Parts with captain Steve "Snag" Holmes won the competition with a record five blue marlin  releases.  Perfect Parts also took the coveted 2007 Bermuda Triple Crown Billfish Championship.  John Truschke and his team on Sea Toy had a great event, placing second in the tournament.  Sea Toy with captain Bull Tolson also won the Marlin Magazine Manufacturers Cup for Spencer Yachts.  Scott Robin's team on Weez in the Keys caught the right fish, a 616-pound blue to take the largest marlin jackpots and the largest cash award for the year of over $165,000.
